Anna, life and leadership coach, celebrating personal reinvention by standing confidently on an orange couch — symbolizing empowerment and transformation.

Why Reinvention Matters

We all go through seasons of change, but some transitions break us wide open and demand a complete reinvention. That’s where I’ve been this year: in the messy middle of an identity crisis that, at first, felt devastating – yet has become the most powerful transformation of my life.

If you’ve ever felt stuck between who you were and who you’re becoming, this story is for you. Because on the other side of the unravelling is a life more authentic, expansive, and aligned than you ever imagined.

The Push Toward Transformation

I am a woman in transition.

Not just any transition – the most significant one to date. For months, I’ve been navigating the in-between: healing, growing, trying, shifting, reinventing, persevering, building… and often doing it all alone.

And yet, through it all, I’ve found myself: powerful and unstoppable.

Earlier this year, everything cracked open. My identity unravelled, and it felt like nothing was left. But with time, I began to see the gift hidden in the rubble: an uncalled-for but necessary pivot, and a pull to rediscover myself on a soul-deep level.

It wasn’t just an unravelling – it was a rebirth.

The Season of Stillness

After a second heart-wrenching layoff (a situation I swore to myself I would never repeat), life asked me to stop. To sit in the stillness. To let the burning happen fully.

At first, I searched for answers: why this, why now, what next? But I realized none of that mattered. What mattered was the truth I’d already lived many times before:

My superpower is pivoting and rising from within. Again and again.

A Life of Many Pivots

If there’s a thread in my story, it’s reinvention and unshakable strength. Every pivot has reshaped me, often through challenges I never expected.

Here are some defining moments of my journey:

  • From gymnastics instructor → waitress → tech support rep → accountant → people & ops leader → now, coach.

  • Immigration struggles and shame at 12, and again at 21, when I had to figure out life on my own.

  • Depression from meaningless work and ignoring my body’s cries for help.

  • A car accident that left me unable to walk for 6 months.

  • Moving to Cuba, falling in love, and experiencing a shattering heartbreak.

  • Discovering CrossFit as my emotional outlet.

  • Falling into a dream job and finding a community.

  • Relocating to Mexico during COVID to protect my mental health.

  • Helping my parents move away from armed conflict.

  • Losing myself in comparison to friends’ milestones (marriage, house, babies), then finally realized that’s not my path.

  • Travelling the world to find myself (35+ countries and counting).

  • Losing 30 pounds and rediscovering my body.

  • Burning out, being let go, and now… building my own business.

Every chapter has broken me open and rebuilt me stronger. Every single time, I rose from within – different, truer, more myself.

What Helped Me Rise

Reinvention isn’t easy. Through the highs and heartbreaks, I’ve leaned on practices and tools that helped me stay grounded and keep moving forward:

  • Therapy and journaling

  • Meditation and gratitude practices

  • Books and community

  • Quitting drinking

  • Psychology, Human Design, and other healing modalities

  • Breathwork and Vipassana

  • Conversations with friends and solopreneurs

  • Moving my body (CrossFit, yoga, long nature walks, dancing Salsa)

  • Travelling and exploring new cultures

  • Coaching (both giving and receiving it)

These anchors steady me when life feels uncertain. They are not just habits, but daily investments in the person I’m becoming – expansive, aligned, and free.

A New Chapter: Entrepreneurship & Purpose

Here I am – falling, rising, stumbling, and getting back up.

As I approach 39 years in this body I cherish, this new season is about failing forward: choosing courage over comfort, resilience over defeat, and trusting that possibility always hides in what falls apart.

But this time, it’s different. I feel it in my bones. I am beginning the journey I’ve always longed for but never knew how to start:

Helping people, serving deeply, and building my own business.

So I’m daring greatly, growing wildly, and stepping into the unknown with a full heart and an unshakable certainty that goes beyond logic.

For Anyone Rising Through Reinvention

This isn’t just a transition – it’s my biggest transformation yet.

And I know I’m not the only one walking through it. If you’re in your own season of change, know this:

  • You are not alone.

  • Your breakdowns can become breakthroughs.

  • Reinvention is not the end of you – it’s the rebirth of you.

Here’s to all of us rising through reinvention: Beautiful. Brave. Surrendered to what is.

If you’re navigating your own season of change and ready to find clarity, strength, and direction — let’s talk. A discovery call is your first step to explore what’s possible and see how coaching can support your transformation.

Anna, WoWzerS! Your sharing is inspiring and uplifting, and the embodiment of the being-in-action of courage ❤️‍🩹

My journey is different, of course, and remarkably similar at the core of resilience and "I'm still here, and Life appears to want me Alive, so now what...?"

It would be my privilege and pleasure to connect with you for a virtual coffee. I will visit your scheduling app!

With care and kind regards,

JC.
